Minus One is returning for season 2, but it’s moving from ad-driven YouTube to a subscription-driven OTT platform.

On Tuesday, Lionsgate Play announced that production has begun on the second season of the relationship drama Minus One, which will be released exclusively on its platform.

Season 2 of Minus One, written by Sidhanta Mathur and Shubham Yogi, finds Aisha Ahmed and Ayush Mehra back in the lead. The series is produced by Writeous Studios and co-written by Gauri Pandit.

“Minus One” follows a couple who remain together even after a breakup, and how they navigate the trials and tribulations of life, their careers, and what they expect from each other.

Lionsgate said all six episodes of the show’s first season, which debuted on YouTube in 2019, were wildly popular and will hit the platform on August 19.

Rohit Jain, MD, Lionsgate South Asia and Network – Emerging Markets Asia, said Minus One is an entirely new concept that embraces all aspects of modern romance, making it a seemingly relevant show.

“Writeous and Shubham have such a unique insight into the couple and their nearly -long life together – love, fun, anger and hurt, and the inevitable chaos and memories that come with it.

“With the mutual success of Feels like Home, we knew we wanted to do this with them.”

Mathur, who worked with Lionsgate Play on the 2022 series Feels Like Home, says Minus One is a relatable and entertaining show that perfectly captures a unique friendship through which it tries to bring an ex to The idea of ​​humanizing.
