Sensational screen delight and media personality, Efia Odo has chastised the government for sanctioning the demolition of houses in some part of Accra amid coronavirus and lockdown period.
The actress shared photos of residents of Old Fadama who have been rendered homeless after authorities stormed the neighborhood and broke down houses in the name of “illegal structuring”.
The actress described it as an act of evil and deemed it not necessary to demolish houses at this time, looking at the issue of coronavirus in the country. The government should have empathy for the people since they are the ones who give them the power to rule, she said.
Her criticism was heavily supported by tweeps who also feel the government didn’t do right by failing to realise the danger it has exposed the people to and the effect it will have on them.
