Actress Lydia Forson has made it known in a post on Twitter that she’s totally disappointed in Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia after the latter made a comparison between the COVID-19 pandemic and the Energy crisis that plunged the country into darkness under the erstwhile John Mahama administration.
Lydia Forson in the tweet felt very disgusted and wonder why the Vice President would go so low to make such needless and unwarranted comparison whiles the ordinary Ghanaians is worried about the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases.

She made the comments in the wake of a press conference organized by Dr. Bawumia to respond to former President Mahama’s criticisms of the way President Nana Akufo-Addo has managed the economy especially in the times of the COVID-19 outbreak.
During the Vice President’s press conference Monday, Dr Bawumia, recalled how former President Mahama managed the power crisis, popularly called Dumsor that crippled the country in 2015.
The Information Ministry after Bawumia’s response to Mahama posted a video of the comment on social media as Bawumia blared: “Two major crises have befallen our country in the last decade – Dumsor and Covid-19. The management of the economy under two different leaders during these crises periods is something we should all be interested in.”
I can’t believe we’re comparing DUMSOR to COVID-19, a pandemic that threatens our very human existence.
