After reports that some six Accra Girls Senior High School students have contracted Coronavirus, hundreds of parents have stormed the premises of the school to claim their individual wards.
The Accra Girls Senior High School in an earlier report had recorded six(6) COVID-19 cases of which all were students.
The patients, all students of the school, were isolated at the school’s sickbay on Monday, June 29, 2020, together with some other students who also showed symptoms of COVID-19.
In a video sighted by ericvoices.com, worried parents were seen at the premises wailing and shouting for their wards to be given to them.
One parent who spoke to CTV’s Fred Alvis said: “I heard the news last night so I rushed here to find out what was happening…I’m anxious and scared and so we need the school authorities to tell us something”
Meanwhile, Police officers have stormed the school’s premises to restore calm as both students and parents demonstrate.
