VGMA debutant MOG grabs 4 nominations
Ghanaian gospel musician Nana Yaw Boakye popularly known within the christiandom as MOG Music has spinned the bottle with a soulful and much scintillating song ‘Halleluyah’ which has God at the heart of it.
MOG’s ‘Halleluyah’ set him at par with Kidi, King Promise, Kwame Eugene and Joe Mettle who together will battle for the best male vocalist of the year’s VGMA.
He also grabbed nominations in the ‘New artiste of the year’ category where he will square off with the likes of Fameye, Kofi Mole, Tulenkey, J derobie and Lord Paper.
‘Halleluyah’ also got nominated in the best gospel song category together with the likes of Joe Mettle, Celestine Donkor, Joyce Blessing, Diana Antwi Hamilton and Nacee.
These nominations are clearly a sign of good luck for a debutant.
He capped the night off with a powerful and inspiring performance at the Labadi beach hotel gardens leading to a resounding standing ovation from the crowd.
